Most traditional Dravidian temples in Tamil Nadu strictly enforce a traditional dress code. Men should wear a dhoti (*veshti*) with a shirt or shawl (trousers are accepted at some temples), while women should wear sarees, half-sarees, or salwar kameez. Shorts, lungis, and sleeveless attire are generally prohibited.

The best time to visit Tamil Nadu is from November to March, when the tropical weather is pleasant (20°C–30°C). Hill stations like Ooty and Kodaikanal are popular during summer (April to June). Coastal areas experience monsoon rains from October to December.
